Use of Electronic Devices

Players may use electronic device to take notes, as discussed in the prior section on In-game Notation Internet-capable devices may be used to access basic information such as looking up cards on the Index. If a device is to be used for this purpose, it must be set aside in plain view for all players in the match while accessing the Index. Players may not access online deck lists unless allowed by the Tournament Organizer. Brief personal calls are allowed (should not exceed 3 minutes). If a player wishes to access the device for any other personal reasons, they must request and receive permission from a judge. Use of all electronic devices is not allowed during a draft or deck Construction.

The use of AI or communication feature on wearables, such as "smart" glasses are not allowed during tournament play. These features must be disabled during a tournament. Judges may instruct and request that a player show the features as disabled during the tournament if they have such devices. Players may turn these features on between their matches and outside of the tournament venue, but must remember to turn these features off for tournament matches to preserve integrity of play. Likewise, the use of earbuds, headsets, or other audio peripherals may not be used during tournament play. Their use is not subject to rules enforcement in-between matches, the same as smart devices.

Use of devices out of compliance with the above policies may be subject to tournament penalties under Outside Assistance.
